Typically tax day should be today, but due to the fact that it’s a Saturday, and that Monday is Washington D.C.’s Emancipation Day, tax day cannot fall on a holiday or weekend. So this year, you’ve got some extra time to file them by 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18!
With that being said, for those of you who just haven’t found the moment to file, you’ve got some time to spare, but the down side of it all is that IRS scammers have three extra days to target you in one of their “Dirty Dozen” scams.
