It’s never fun being dinged for an unpaid or overdue bill, so we all try our best to avoid this type of situation. But despite how hard we keep up with the bills, scammers are preying on our fears and convincing us otherwise.

Hitting homes across the nation, scammers are threatening to cut off services to customers who do not pay their so-called late or unpaid bills immediately. The Utility Scam’s goal is to collect personal or financial information from the customer, making it easier for them to steal their identity and money.
