As Christmas comes near, many of us either head home or await friends who will be coming back to your hometown. And if you’re like blogger Donna Freedman, when you get that unexpected call with a local area code you can’t help but think it’s most likely an old friend or classmate wanting to get together while they’re in town. Unfortunately, the reunion you hope to have is crushed by another one of those annoying robocalls.
However, if you were to avoid all calls that weren’t in your contact list, you could be missing out on great times with old friends. What a dilemma, what to do, what to do? Well for Freedman, she’s taking a tip from Hiya who most recently reported that scams have grown 113% since last holiday season and warns her and us all of the holiday scams we should keep on our radar.
